Bangalore installs Sepura radios

The new Bengaluru International Airport in Bangalore, built at a cost of US$560 million, has installed TETRA digital radios. These will provide communication for many facets of the airport; baggage handling, fuel supply, maintenance, catering, immigration, customs and security.

Supplied by Sepura, the radios will integrate with the airport’s other IT and communication systems. The order includes handheld and in-vehicle radios and Sepura’s Radio Manager, which automatically configures the functionality and group profile of all the radios.

According to Sepura’s partner and distributor in India, Nokia Siemens Networks, “Sepura radios have been a proven success in airport environments around the world. Furthermore, the radios meet all the demanding requirements at one of the most advanced airports in the world.”
