Preview IFSEC 2009

IFSEC, the world’s largest annual security event, returns in 2009 to the NEC Birmingham from 11 – 14 May. The internationally renowned exhibition provides security installers, manufacturers, distributors, IT integrators, end-users and consultants with a platform to keep up to date with the ever-changing developments of the global security industry.

The 2009 features and content have been adapted to meet the evolving demands of security professionals. More than 500 market leading companies have already confirmed their presence at this year’s event including household names such as ASSA ABLOY, Axis Communications, Bosch, Cisco, Dallmeier, IndigoVision, JVC, Panasonic, Samsung Opto-Electronics, Samsung Techwin, Sony, Xtralis and many more.

Each day of the IFSEC Conference, entitled “Maximising protection in uncertain times”, will be dedicated to a specific area of security and chaired by an industry leading figure. Day 1 will look at Global, National and Local Protection. Day 2 of the conference programme will concentrate on Corporate Security Management and day 3 will explore Technological Innovations in Practice.

Visitors to IFSEC 2009 will have the opportunity to attend over 100 hours and 150 individual complimentary seminars to learn about the latest issues facing the industry and receive best practice advice from industry luminaries. New to 2009, Business Seminars for Security Installers – Managing your business in a downturn is a new seminar programme dedicated specifically to installers. These sessions will focus on various issues including maximising emerging opportunities, developing robust business plans, winning new contracts, selling security in a downturn to a variety of vertical markets, expanding your business abroad, bringing projects in on budget and many more.

The IFSEC exhibition will be organised into various following categories: IP Networks and Integrated Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Counter Terror and Physical Security and Security Solutions.

In addition, the popular New Product & Technology Showcases returns to this year’s event. Axis Communications, Dedicated Micros, IndigoVision and HIK Vision are just some of the names who will presenting their newest innovations.
